1. Scope of Application: When a wastewater treatment system is newly installed, the system pressure typically remains within the designed range. In such cases, volumetric blowers—known for their relatively rigid flow characteristics—are clearly superior to centrifugal blowers. When external system resistance rises, the outlet pressure also increases accordingly, causing the blower to expel air even though the flow rate remains nearly constant (provided the fan’s structural strength and motor power can handle the increased load). On the other hand, because centrifugal blowers generate higher pressure, their airflow output tends to decrease significantly as resistance builds up. Once the resistance reaches a critical point, the blower may eventually fail to deliver sufficient air altogether.
